Valentine’s Posts that Work!

What’s Love Got to Do With It?

Despite its poetic pastime and romantic roots, Valentine’s Day is a significant spending holiday for shoppers worldwide. According to a study of US spending by the National Retail Federation (NRF), despite a minor spending dip in 2017 ($18.2 billion vs $19.7 billion in 2016), the total spending rose to $20.7 billion in 2019.

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, we wanted to share a few dynamite Valentine’s Day campaign ideas for you to leverage on your social media channels. From holiday price promotions to sparking engagement with creative contests, it’s time to amp up the excitement for your products and services, as people are gearing up to share their love by showing their green!

If you’ve read any of our previous social media suggestions, it should come as no surprise that social networks have a major influence over buying decisions!

“47% shoppers choose either ‘social networks’ or ‘visual social networks’ as their main sources of inspiration.” - 2017 Total Retail Survey by PWC (source, page 15).

So what’s the takeaway? Sharing your appreciation for the holidays via social media is a simple and easy way to invite existing and prospective customers to connect and interact with you. Regardless of what you decide to share and however you decide to share it, the brands and businesses that prove themselves to be more memorable and relatable are often the ones that attract the most customers.

Okay, I see a Couple of Ideas that Fit My Company’s Personality. What’s My Next Step?

Again, engaging with customers and prospects on social media starts by first committing yourself to POSTING A MESSAGE on your social media page! Remember... people enjoy connecting and engaging with other people, so be genuine, authentic and real… and preferably not too serious. In other words, just be yourself and don’t overthink it.

We sincerely hope this helps you feel better about sharing some love with your customers! From all of us at High Level Marketing, have a spectacular and Happy Valentine’s Day!
